Rainbow Riches Power Pitch

Rainbow Riches Power Pitch Review

Light and Wonder are a rather classy online slot studio, and we typically like the team’s releases. So, when we first heard about Rainbow Riches Power Pitches, we already knew that we’d have to review that game in some depth. That’s why we’re here now, and we can tell you that the slot’s base game offers just 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 winlines.

The theme of Rainbow Riches Power Pitch is about all things Irish, and it works as well as ever. It’s a bit of a shame, then, that the game’s audiovisual presentation is actually surprisingly basic, and it’s worse than what you can find even in many other Light and Wonder slots. It’s not a disaster by any stretch of imagination, but there’s every chance that you won’t fall in love with it.

Let’s now focus on the mathematical model of Rainbow Riches Power Pitch. There’s no official volatility given, but we estimate it to be high. After all, you can win up to 10,000x your bet here. The game’s betting range then runs from £0.10 to £50 per spin, which should please everyone. And the slot’s theoretical RTP? Well, it can be in the vicinity of either 94% or 96%.

Rainbow Riches Power Pitch Slot Features

The paytable of Rainbow Riches Power Pitch has a set of 9 pay symbols, and it is possible to divide them into 4 low pays, 3 mid pays, and 2 high pays. For low pays, there are card ranks from Jacks to Aces, and they all pay the same, up to 10x your bet for a full combination. For mid pays, there are horseshoes, harps, and hats, with these symbols paying up to 50x your bet. Finally, there are mushrooms and logos, with logos paying as much as 200x your bet for a five-of-a-kind combination.

Aside from the aforementioned pay symbols, there are also Coin Wilds and Pot Scatters. Coin Wilds can substitute for any of the pay symbols, while Pot Scatters are there to trigger the titular Power Pitch feature.

To get to the Power Pitch feature, you have to find 3, 4, or 5 Pot Scatters in view. Depending on how many Pot Scatters you get, you’ll be moved to a 5x9 grid, a 5x10 grid, or a 5x11 grid.

And what’s the actual feature all about? Well, in essence, it’s a more complex Hold and Win feature, which can net you multiplier symbols and modifier symbols. If you fill a column with special symbols, you’ll also get another column to work with, though the game board can never be bigger than 5x11. As for the modifiers, there are 4 in total, and they come with different special effects.

The Wishing Well modifier collects all appearing multipliers, while the Rainbow modifier will improve your max number of lives to 4. The Fairy modifier will double some multiplier values, while the Leprechaun modifier can multiply multipliers in adjacent spaces.

Since the Power Pitch feature is such a highlight, it’s no wonder that you can also get to it via the Premium Play option. It’s actually quite interesting, since it won’t ever get you directly into the Power Pitch feature. Instead, you can choose from 3 stake levels, and you can then spin your way into the Power Pitch feature via a small 3x3 slot minigame.

Review Summary

At the end of the day, Rainbow Riches Power Pitch is a decent slot with a big focus on the Power Pitch feature. It’s a juicy one, no doubt, but the game’s audiovisuals are average at best, and the base game loop is pretty boring. What that means is that you’ll probably want to try your luck with the Premium Play option, as getting to the Power Pitch feature the old-fashioned way will test your patience.
