Hot Slot: 777 Rubies

Hot Slot: 777 Rubies Review

We have been following the trademarked Hot Slot series from Wazdan for a while now, and it comes with new twists and turns per installment. The series keeps things simple most of the time though, staying true to its fruit machine roots. Hot Slot™: 777 Rubies comes with a high-value 7 symbol, but the main attraction is definitely the ruby scatter jackpots.

You win 500x your stake from 5 red ruby scatters in view, and anything less than that triggers the optional Magic Respin feature. You can pay to spin non-scatter reels in order to win up to multiple jackpots, but the price per respin increases the closer you get to the big one. You can choose your preferred pace and volatility from 3 settings as usual, and fruit slot fans should take a closer look at this one.

Hot Slot™: 777 Rubies Slot Features

The fruit symbols pay between 5 and 25 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the top-tier red lucky number 7 symbol pays 250x your stake for the same. There is no Wild symbol in this game, and there aren’t too many features to cover either.

Landing 2, 3, 4, or 5 red ruby scatters anywhere in view awards the corresponding jackpot prize. These are the Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand jackpots, and they pay 20x, 50x, 150x, or 500x your stake, respectively.

The Magic Respin feature becomes an option when you land 1, 2, 3, or 4 red ruby scatters in view. You get the option to pay for a respin of the reel or reels that do not contain a ruby scatter. The price per respin is 10x, 25x, 50x, or 150x your stake when 1, 2, 3, or 4 red ruby scatters are in view, respectively.

Taking advantage of the Magic Respin feature comes with a risk you should know about. If you land 2 to 4 ruby scatters you have already secured a jackpot. However, if you engage with the respins feature, you need a new ruby scatter in view to win any jackpot. You therefore risk losing a jackpot unless you are prepared to pay for enough respins to land a new ruby scatter.

You get to see plenty of the Magic Respins feature in our 3:18-minute highlights video. We use it to successfully land ourselves a few jackpots not too long after the video starts, but the big highlight comes towards the end. You can check it all out for yourself by hitting the play button below.

Review Summary

The trademarked Hot Slot series is still going strong it seems, and Hot Slot™: 777 Rubies is a fruity installment focused around the scatter jackpots feature. It’s possible to land larger payouts from regular line wins as well, of course, not least thanks to the top-tier 7 symbol. This is a classic inspired release, and the fruit machine sounds and visuals will probably stir up some nostalgia in certain players.

You can choose your preferred pace from 3 different settings as usual with Wazdan, and you can also choose your preferred volatility from 3 settings. You have to be careful not to miss Magic Respin opportunities, however, so a slower pace might be a good idea for this game. It’s possible to simply ignore the paid respins as well, and wait for jackpots to land organically with no manipulation. We had a pretty good time with Hot Slot™: 777 Rubies, and it will probably hit the spot with a certain crowd.
